TALKING POETRY
Is a space for learning and discovery, sharing and critiquing
A space where poetry is celebrated in its many forms
Talking Poetry is part workshop and part discussion group. We will
- examine poetic forms and start to think differently about the way we express ourselves
- consider why some poems move us and others don't
- whet our curiosity about language, line length, tricks of grammar and sheer poetic beauty
- sharpen our aesthetic skills
Talking Poetry is also a space where your poems could be discussed.
Your work could be published in the poetry section of the Open Space website (http://www.openspaceindia.org) that seeks to foster change through the innovative and strategic use of the arts.
Talking Poetry will be led by Priyaa Sarukkai Chabria, poet and novelist. She has been awarded the Senior Fellowship to Outstanding Artists for Literature by the Indian government.
